Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a graduating high school senior to apply for this freshman year award.
  4. Must be enrolled in and complete an international baccalaureate diploma.
  5. Must have an ACT/SAT score of 25/1130 or higher.
  6. Must not be a resident of Nebraska.
  7. Must plan to attend the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
  8. Must attend a college or university in Nebraska.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. students who are not residents of Nebraska and plan to receive an IB diploma are eligible for this award. Students must have an ACT/SAT score of 25/1130 or higher.

Additional Information: A qualified student may only receive one merit-based general scholarship.

Award Amount: $15,000 per year  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $60,000.

There is not an additional application for this award. The student's admission application is used to determine eligibility. Applications for admission are available on the University of Nebraska - Lincoln website. Paper applications are available by special request. In addition to the completed application, each student must also submit: a $45 application fee; contact his/her guidance counselor for the submission of a 'Class Rank Verification' Form (available online); official high school transcript and a copy of his/her senior class schedule; request that his/her ACT/SAT test scores be forwarded directly from the testing agency to the office of admissions; his/her most recent college transcripts (if applicable); and an Informal Personal Statement to be considered for select leadership, service, and diversity scholarships. All applications and materials must be submitted by the priority deadline of February 1 or the final deadline of May 1.
