  2. A resident of Somerset or Hunterdon County, New Jersey.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: Applicants for the Jessamine S. Henderson Memorial Adult Education Scholarship must be high school graduates or possess a General Education Development (GED) diploma. Applicants must: be residents of Somerset or Hunterdon County, New Jersey; serious about pursuing a career-related program of study; and demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to applicants who have had little or no opportunity to pursue any education or training beyond a high school diploma.

Additional Information: The Board of Trustees gives first consideration to applicants who have had little or no opportunity to pursue any education or training beyond a high school diploma. Under no circumstances will scholarship awards be paid to the individual recipients. Awards are paid directly to the educational institutions the recipients are attending.

Award Amount: Chosen applicant will receive $5,000;n   The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.
