Number of Awards & Eligibility: Four awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be enrolled in an occupational therapy educational program.
  3. Must be a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  4. Must enroll full time at an accredited college or university.
  5. Must be a resident of New York.
  6. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  7. Must attend a New York college or university.
  8. Must be a member of the New York Occupational Therapy Association.
  9. Must have completed at least one full year of occupational therapy coursework.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for U.S. college sophomores and/or graduate students who are residents of New York and who are currently attending a college/university in New York. Students must be members of both the New York Occupational Therapy Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association and be pursing a career in occupational therapy.

Application requirements for the New York Occupational Therapy Scholarship are:

  • Reference forms
Additional Information: Applicants must demonstrate a need for financial assistance and have a sustained record of outstanding scholastic achievement. Students are considered for all scholarships for which they qualify, but may receive only one scholarship per year. Post-baccalaureate graduate degrees require a dissertation, thesis, special project, or research component. Winners will be notified by April.

Award Amount: Three scholarships of $1,000 each are given to students enrolled in an accredited occupational educational program pursuing a master's degree. One scholarship of $150 is given to a student enrolled in an accredited occupational educational program while pursuing an associate's degree. All awards are offered annually, and are non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $787.
