In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a high school senior.
  2. Must be planning to major in agriculture or a related field of study.
  3. Must reside in the counties of Cotton or Tillman in OK, or Wichita Falls in TX.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Description: The Fred and Iris Dwyer Family Scholarship is available for graduating high school seniors in the counties from Burkburnett ISD, or Big Pasture High School in Randlett, Oklahoma. Applicats must be studying an agricultural related field.

Additional Information: The Fred and Iris Dwyer Family Scholarship is provided annually through the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation, and seeks to reward local area high school students who show a combination of academic achievement and unmet financial need. To be eligible for this program, applicants must be current high school seniors in Wichita Falls, Texas or Cotton or Tillman Counties in Oklahoma. Applicants may plan to attend any accredited college or university in the United States, but must be pursuing a degree related to the field of agriculture.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.

The Fred and Iris Dwyer Family Scholarship has closed for 2019 but the deadline is expected to remain the same in 2020. Please check back in January when applications are scheduled to become available. Applications, instructions, and complete details about the Fred and Iris Dwyer Family Scholarship are available online at the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation website. To be considered for a scholarship through the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation, students must first complete the online general application form. Upon completion, students will be notified of which individual scholarships they are eligible for, and what additional application materials (if any) are required to apply for each program.
