This scholarship is for high school seniors who have caddied, successfully and regularly, for two or more years at a Western Golf Association (WGA) member club. Eligible students must also have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and have taken the ACT; students must also attend an eligible college as defined by the Evans Scholars Foundation.

U.S. high school students in grades nine through twelve who are 19 years of age or younger are eligible for this scholarship. To apply, the applicant must write an essay on the theme listed on the Veterans of Foreign Wars website and record the reading of that essay; submit both essay and CD/flash drive to be considered for this scholarship.

This scholarship is open to U.S. high school seniors who plan to attend the University of Oregon, and are residents of and graduating from a high school in Oregon. Students must: have a grade point average of 3.85 or higher; have an SAT score of 1300 or higher or an ACT score of 28 or higher; and exemplify leadership, perseverance, scholarship, service, and innovation.
