In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a Pennsylvania resident and attending a Pennsylvania law school.
  2. Must have at least a 2.5 GPA or higher.

Description: The James W. Stoudt Memorial Scholarship Fund of the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation honors one of the Pennsylvania Bar’s steadfast supporters – the late James (“Jim”) W. Stoudt. 2 of 3 , $3,000 awards will support minority law students attending any one of the approved nine accredited law schools presently serving Pennsylvania.

Additional Information: As part of the application, you must send a letter of acceptance from an accredited law school. You must show a commitment to a career in patent law in a personal statement. Along with these items, a complete form includes a resume, law school admission plans, LSAT scores or GRE. If you wish the committee to consider financial need, you must submit a current FAFSA. : Applicants must be in good academic standing and show certified proven financial need. Other criteria include PA residency and the potential to make a contribution to society and the legal profession.

Award Amount: Three awards of $3,000 each.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $9,000.
