Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a qualified employee of Subway or the dependent of a Subway employee. A qualified employee must work 15 hours per week and be employeed for six or more months prior to Dec. 31. A qualified employee who is the parent of an applicant is defined as an employee scheduled to work a minimum of 30 hours per week who has been employed for 18 or more months prior to Jan. 1.
  4. Must enroll full time at an accredited college, university or technical school.
  5. Must be a current high school senior or college freshman at time of application.
  6. Must be a resident of South Carolina.

Description: This award is for U.S. high school seniors and college freshmen who are employees of Subway or the dependents of Subway employees. The applicant must enroll full time and demonstrate academic merit.

Application requirements for the Subway of South Carolina Scholarship are:

  • Official SAT and/or ACT scores
  • Recommendation letter
  • Essay
Additional Information: The CSA will select winners each year according to the applicant's academic achievement, scholarship performance, scholastic aptitude, essays, letter of recommendation and potential to succeed in his/her chosen educational field. Scholarship recipients must plan to attend college in the fall of the year the awards are made.

Award Amount: $3,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,000.

Applications and information about this award are available online using the link provided. Application forms must be completed online. In addition to a completed online application, the applicant must also submit the following: a copy of his/her transcript through the most recent spring semester, submitted by the applicant's high school counselor or college registrar (if the applicant is a high school senior, his/her transcript must reflect his/her cumulative grade point average, his/her SAT/ACT scores, and his/her rank in class); a letter of recommendation from a high school teacher or college professor; a one-page essay on the appropriate topic for a qualified employee or dependent of a qualified employee as listed on the application; and a one page listing of academic honors, leadership, and community service. All applications must be submitted online by midnight on the deadline date, and all supporting documents must be submitted to the address provided, and must be postmarked by the deadline date. No late or incomplete applications will be accepted.
