Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually based on the number of eligible students.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  2. This award is for U.S. students.
  3. Must not be a resident of Louisiana.
  4. Must be admitted to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
  5. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher on a non-weighted 4.0 scale for all college-level work.
  6. Must have earned an associate's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution OR have completed 24 or more credit hours (excluding developmental/remedial courses).
  7. Must attend a college or university in Louisiana.

Description: This award is available to U.S. undergraduate students who are planning to transfer to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. The student must not be a resident of Louisiana and must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher.

Additional Information: To be eligible for this award, students must meet the following criteria: be eligible for return to their previous institution; cannot have already received a bachelor's degree; meet minimum ULL transfer requirements. Award Amount: This award is in the form of an exemption from the non-resident portion of tuition and fees. Approximately $6,864/semester for up to 10 semesters)  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $68,640.

Scholarship information is available online on the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL) website by clicking on the "Out-of-State Students" link, then clicking on the "Transfer Students" link. Students must complete a scholarship application (available on the ULL website) to be considered for this program. One section of the application must be completed and signed by his/her guidance counselor or principal. In addition to the scholarship application, the student must submit transcripts from all colleges/universities attended. Please note: Students must have been admitted to ULL prior to submitting the scholarshp application. Admissions information for ULL is available online at www.louisiana.edu/admissions/first-time-freshmen. The scholarship application must be mailed to the address provided by the deadline date. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis; however, additional offers to students with exceptionally high test scores will be extended to students who submitted applications by Jan. 31.
