  2. Must be a resident of Connecticut, Ohio, or Texas.
  3. This award is for U.S. and international students.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.2 or higher.

Description: The Energize Your Education Scholarship is available for high school seniors in Connecticut, Ohio, and Texas who have a grade point average of 3.2 or higher. To apply, applicants must submit an essay on the listed topic.

Additional Information: Selection of the award recipient will be based on a combination of the submitted essay, applicants' academic achievements, and demonstrated impact and involvement within the community. The winner will be notified by May 20 and will have 10 days to return the signed affidavit of eligibility, liability waver, and publicity release.

Award Amount: $500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.

Applications and instructions can be found online at the provider website and may be accessed with the provided link. To be considered for an award, applicants must complete the online application form, upload a copy of trancripts, and submit an original essay of 500 words in response to the following topic prompt: "Electricity powers your life. That’s one kind of energy, but not the only kind. How do you bring your positive energy into the community to make a difference in the lives of others?" All applications must be submitted through the online application form and must be received by the deadline date. Late and incomplete submissions will not be considered.
