Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must have been a resident of Texas for two or more years.
  4. Must intend to change careers or pursue his/her Texas Master Florist Certification.
  5. Must be an adult student.
  6. Must major and pursue a career in horticulture, landscaping, or floriculture.
  7. Must be involved in volunteer or community service work.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to adult students in Texas who are changing careers or want to complete their Texas Master Florist Certification. Students must attend a two-year community college or floral design school in Texas and major in horticulture, landscaping, or floriculture.

Application requirements for the Society for the Advancement of Floral Design TMF/Career Change Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Recommendation letters (3)
Additional Information: Awardees are announced during the Endowment presentation each year in July at the Texas State Florists' Association Annual Convention.

Award Amount: $700 annually, non-renewable. Funds may be used only for books, tuition, or board.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $700.
