Scholarships for Graduate Students in Texas

University of Houston offers over 100 merit awards through the MBA Bauer Excellence Initiative. From their business school, these go to qualified MBA students who study full time. Jane Nelson Institute Legacy Leaders Program is open to first-time in college students starting Texas Woman’s University in the fall semester in a full-time capacity. Selectees receive a sum of $11,000 which may renew for up to four years.
This scholarship is open to U.S. undergraduate students who are majoring in the arts/sciences, human services, music, or ministry. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to applicants from Missouri, Mississippi, Georgia, Illinois, Oklahoma, Texas, and Tennessee.
This scholarship is for U.S. students enrolled in a four-year geodetic surveying degree program at an ABET-accredited institution. Students must be enrolled full time.
This scholarship is available for a Texas high school senior who is a member or the child of a member of a local union that is affiliated with the Texas AFL-CIO and the local Central Labor Council.
This award is for U.S. high school seniors. Applicants must submit an essay reflecting an awareness of Texas history and exploring its relevance to the building of Texas.
This scholarship is available for U.S. citizens and permanent residents who are currently enrolled as high school seniors. Students must have made a contribution to the Asian/Pacific American community and reside in one of the nine states or regions with an active Asian Pacific Islanders for Professional and Community Advancement (APCA) chapter.
International undergraduate students who have completed 30 or more credit hours at TAMU are eligible for this award. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher; preference is given to students enrolled at TAMU/Koriyama.

Students must have a grade point average of 2.75 or higher (3.5 or higher in the major) and one or more years of work experience in the foodservice industry.
U.S. college sophomores or juniors enrolled in an mechanical engineering or related program are eligible for this award. Preference will be given to students who are interested in power engineering and/or who reside or attend school in the American Electric Power service area of Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia.
