Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC)
There is $2,000 available to be split among all recipients. Awards are non-renewable. This award must be used for payment of child care expenses.

The Bernice Murray Scholarship Foundation was created by U.S. Senator James Jeffords, along with family and friends of Bernice Murray, long-time aide to Sen. Jeffords. The scholarship was established to honor her unselfish contributions to improving the lives of Vermonters. Please note: This scholarship is funded by an endowment subject to laws restricting disbursements under certain investment yield scenarios; as a result, there can be no guarantee of a scholarship award for the upcoming academic year. Applicants must plan to attend an accredited postsecondary school approved for federal Title IV funding and demonstrate financial need. Selection is based on financial need, a recommendation letter, essays, and personal interview (finalists only). There are approximately 18 applicants for this award each year.
