KASF Eastern Region Scholarship

This award is available for Korean-American students living in and attending school in Delaware, District of Columbia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, or West Virginia. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, and plan to enroll full time.

Becca’s Closet Spirit of Generosity Scholarship

Rebecca was a passionate, bright, fun-loving young woman who loved being with her friends and felt that no one should miss a high school event because they couldn’t afford to be there. She saw the inequity in the situation and sought to change things. During the Spring of her sophomore year, Becca singlehandedly collected and donated over 250 formal dresses and helped hundreds of girls across South Florida attend their High School proms in style. To keep Becca’s dream alive, countless dedicated people throughout the United States have joined forces to provide opportunities for those who seek them. Although the core mission of Becca’s Closet, located in the Festival Marketplace in Pompano Beach, FL, was to collect and distribute dresses to high school girls with financial need, our goals have expanded to offer additional opportunities for deserving young people. In the spirit of Rebecca’s visions and aspirations, our foundation raises funds to award post-secondary educational scholarships recognizing the exemplary efforts of young men and women nationwide who demonstrate Becca’s spirit of generosity in their own communities.

Virginia Department of Health Nursing Scholarships

The Nursing Scholarship Program is for students in a practical nurse program (LPN) or a registered nurse (RN) program and who are accepted or enrolled a school of nursing in the State of Virginia. Scholarship recipients must agree to engage in full-time nursing in Virginia for one month for every $100 received. Presently, the Virginia Department of Health, Office of Health Equity offers several scholarship opportunities to help pay for nursing education.

Korean American Scholarship Foundation-Eastern Regional Chapter

The Korean American Scholarship Foundation (KASF) – Eastern Regional Chapter (ERC) is pleased to announce a scholarship program in honor and recognition of 1.6 million American Veterans who served in the Korean War during the Korean War era (June 25, 1950–January 31, 1955). These men and women answered the call to fight for a country and people they never knew and never met. More than 54,000 Americans died and 103,000 were wounded. To express our gratitude to these veterans for their sacrifices, KASF-ERC will offer their descendants an opportunity to apply for a scholarship. KASF-ERC scholarship program will recognize outstanding students who have demonstrated outstanding talents and potential for success. Awardees will receive a check of $2,000 scholarships from KASF and be able to attend the KASF-ERC Award Ceremony & Banquet in Vienna, VA.

Virginia Tech SigEp Balanced Man Scholarship

The Virginia Tech SigEp Balanced Man Scholarship serves the purpose of rewarding young men who are currently embracing all aspects of Sigma Phi Epsilon’s ideals and working to become a well rounded Balanced Man while working on leadership skills and becoming involved in as many ways as possible. YouthCon Scholarship

The YouthCon Scholarship is hosted by AASuccess, a Falls Church-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering the youth to gain confidence while fostering leadership skills by living our motto of “perfecting the act of giving back”. Our scholarship allows innovative high school and middle school students living in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area with ideas to be actively involved with philanthropic work to make a difference in neighborhoods, with the support of AASuccess. We award innovative and driven students with the mindsets of giving back, and those seeking to strengthen their skills such as writing, presentation, and leadership.

Freeze Bullying Scholarship

Payton’s Project has an ongoing college scholarship program for outstanding students who have persevered while experiencing bullying/cyberbullying and for those who have demonstrated efforts to “Freeze Bullying and Cyberbullying” in their schools and communities. Our goal is to award 24 $1,000 scholarships each year. Together, SPARK, the Education Foundation for Prince William County, Virginia Public Schools, and Payton’s Project, Inc. have established an annual scholarship award in the amount of $24,000 to be provided in $1,000 awards (up to twenty-four (24) total awards), to eligible high school Seniors, who intend to pursue studies at a higher learning institute, or to current higher learning institute students. Each school or higher learning institute may submit multiple students for consideration. A designated school or higher learning institute counselor should ensure that applications are submitted in accordance with the Eligibility Criteria

At Aaron & Co. Millwork, we firmly believe in investing in our community and the next generation of skilled tradesmen. It is our goal to support these students by providing scholarships and mentoring opportunities – anything we can do to help those striving toward their goals.
