  2. Must reside in and attend school in Chelan, Douglas, and Okanogan Counties.
  3. Must be planning to major or minor in music.

Description: The Everett & Roy Hill Music Scholarship is provided annually for graduating high school seniors from Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan counties who are planning to major or minor in music.

Additional Information: The Everett & Roy Hill Music Scholarship was established by Everett Hill to share the love he and his brother always had for music. Awards are administered and distributed by the Community Foundation of North Central Washington and the fund provides scholarships for students throughout Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan counties who are planning to major or minor in music. Award selection will be based on a combination of academic merit, unmet financial need, and demonstrated interest in pursuing higher education in the field of music. Scholarship recipients will be notified in early May and will be required to provide additional documentation such as a signed scholarship agreement and verification of enrollment.

Award Amount: $4,500 annually. Scholarships are paid out for two years for a total amount of $9,000.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $9,000.

The Everett & Roy Hill Music Scholarship has closed for 2019 but is expected to be offered again in 2020. Please check back in January of 2020 when applications will become available. Applications for the Everett & Roy Hill Music Scholarship must be completed online at the Community Foundation of North Central Washington website. To apply, students must first create an online account with the community foundation's application portal and complete the eligibility quiz. Students will then be able to access the individual applications for any scholarships they are eligible through the foundation. Applicants are encouraged to gather the following materials prior to beginning the application: their expected family contribution (EFC) from their Student Aid Report (SAR); transcripts from their current educational institution; email addresses for two individuals who will provide a recommendation for the applicant; and a list of activities, awards, and honors the student has received. The Student Aid Report is obtained by filing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the student's current-year FAFSA must be completed at the time of application. Students may apply to multiple scholarships they are eligible through the foundation application portal by clicking on "copy answers." Students are also advised to pay close attention to any specific short answers, essays, or other supplemental materials required for each specific scholarship's application. All submissions must be completed online by the deadline date. Any late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
