Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a licensed radio amateur (any class).
  2. Must be enrolled at a regionally accredited technical school, community college, college, or university in a program leading to an undergraduate degree.
  3. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  4. Must be a resident of Illinois or the ARRL Central Division area (Indiana, Wisconsin).
  5. Must be enrolled on a part-time or full-time basis.
  6. Preference will be given to students with a grade point average of 2.5 or higher and in good academic standing.

Additional Information: The Six Meter of Chicago Scholarship is available for licensed radio amateurs that reside in Illinois, Indiana, or Wisconsin. Preference is given to students who demonstrate strong academic achievement as evidenced by a grade point average of 2.5 or higher. Recipients are typically notified by mid-May by USPS mail and email.

Award Amount: $500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.
