Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a resident of an area outside of King County where the Pride Foundation working to enhance the leadership of the LGBT and allied community: Alaska, Black Hills, Clark County, Columbia Basin, Columbia Willamette, Inland Northwest, Montana, Northwest Washington, Pierce County, Southern Idaho, and Washington Peninsulas.
  4. Must be a high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student at time of application.
  5. Preference is given to students who are self-identified lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgendered; members of LGBT families; or allies who have been strongly supportive of the LGBT community.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for U.S. citizens who are residents of Whatcom/Skagit, Kitsap County, Pierce County, Clark County, Black Hills, Inland Northwest, Southern Idaho or Columbia Basin. Preference is given to self-identified LGBT students, members of LGBT families, and straight allies who have been supportive of the LGBT community.

Application requirements for the Pride Foundation Eastern Washington Scholarship are:

  • Essays (6)
  • Artwork samples (opt.)
  • Interview (finalists only)
Additional Information: Pride Foundation is able to offer a diversity of scholarships, which encourage students of different backgrounds and educational interests to apply. Most scholarships are available for straight ally or questioning students as well as student of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) parents. All promote leadership and diversity in the LGBT community.

Award Amount: The monetary award amount varies and is determined by the Pride Foundation. Generally, scholarships offered through the foundation are a minimum of $500 to a maximum of $12,000. The award is offered annually and is non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $12,000.
