Description: The University of Chicago Stamps Scholarship is available for sophomore students at the University of Chicago. Applicants must demonstrate a record of leadership, perseverance, scholarship, service, and innovation. Current second-year College students who plan to graduate in June 2022 are eligible to apply.

Application requirements for the University of Chicago Stamps Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Interview
  • Recommendation letter
  • Personal statement.
Additional Information: University of Chicago partners with the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation to offer the Stamps Scholars Program. It recognizes exceptional students who model leadership, perseverance, scholarship, service, and innovation. The Stamps Scholars Program accepts applications from second-year students for enrichment grants. These grants allow students to take on ambitious experiential learning projects during their third and fourth years. Tuition and fees at University of Chicago are $58,230 per year.

Award Amount: Stamps Scholars receive grants of $20,000 that can be used over the course of their final two years at the University. Recipients may use these funds for a wide variety of experiential learning opportunities. Internships, research projects, entrepreneurial endeavors, volunteering, attending professional conferences, and other experiences at the discretion of the University and the Foundation.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $60,000.

Applicants submit applications and supporting materials through UChicago Handshake. Applicants must complete a standardized cover sheet which also includes a recently updated resume. The cover sheet should list information about the applicant, their project, and their faculty or staff mentor.
