$2,000, annually, non-renewable. The recipients will also be awarded a complimentary one-year ENA membership.

Additional Information

This fund awards scholarships to rescue workers who are going to school to obtain their undergraduate nursing degrees. Eligible rescue workers include pre-hospital care providers, fire fighters, and police officers. The applicant must be a member of a state or national professional EMT, firefighter or police officer association. The scholarship is not limited geographically. The criteria for determining awards are as follows, in descending priority: content/clarity of goal statement (45 percent); professional association involvement (45 percent); and grade point average, with emphasis placed on science/nursing courses (10 percent).
