CAN INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS GET SCHOLARSHIPS?

Many non-U.S. citizens and U.S. nationals may be eligible to receive scholarships for international students. For instance, if you hold a green card, yes you can fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You may also be an eligible non-citizen if you:

  1. American University
  2. Emory University
  3. Cornell University
  4. Brandeis University
  5. University of California – Berkeley
  • Check with your country’s embassy or with a consulate here in the U.S.
  • Look for a government office in your country that may offer aid
  • Ask the college or career school you plan to attend whether they offer scholarships for international students
  • Have an Arrival-Departure Record (I-94)
  • Hold a T-nonimmigrant status
  • Are a “battered immigrant qualified alien”
  • Are a citizen of the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, or the Republic of Palau

PRCUA Education Scholarship

The PRCUA awards multiple annual scholarships for the purpose of providing financial assistance to students to earn undergraduate, graduate or professional degrees while actively celebrating their Polish heritage. Both members and non-members of the PRCUA are eligible to apply. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents with a minimum 2.5 GPA (3.5 on 5-pt scale) who have completed their freshman year by the application deadline. Undergraduate students must be enrolled full-time, but graduate and professional studies students are eligible with part-time enrollment. There are no application restrictions based on residency, age, gender, religion, school, major, or finances.

Fighting Bullying with Technology

1902 Software is a Danish-managed software development company based in the Philippines. For over 20 years, we have been working with companies, big and small, for their design, development, and support needs with ecommerce, websites, mobile apps, and custom software. Write an essay (minimum of 1,500 and maximum of 3,000 words) that details your personal experience with bullying and how you have overcome it, or the initiatives that you have done to help stop and campaign against it in your school or community. The International University of Leadership Education Scholarship is available for students at the International University of Leadership who are from developing countries. Scholarships are available for study in business administration at both the undergraduate and the graduate level.

Dr. Marianne Cooley Study Abroad Scholarship (China)

Dr. Marianne Cooley, a Professor Emeritus at the University of Houston, has served as a USAC Visiting Professor on both the Chengdu and Shanghai, China programs. This scholarship is for students attending the Chengdu or Shanghai, China programs with minimum 2.5 GPA. Preference will be given to yearlong students.

Ashland Rotary Club of Lithia Springs Scholarship

International undergraduate and graduate students who are attending Southern Oregon University are eligible for this award. Undergraduate students must have a grade point average of 2.75 or higher, and graduate students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Students must be willing to attend a early morning meeting with his or her international advisor.

This Foundation provides scholarships each year for postgraduate studies.
