Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually. Last year, 12 awards were given.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a resident of Clay County, Florida, OR attend a Clay County high school.
  4. Must be a member of 4-H; Future Farmers of America (FFA); Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA); or Police Explorers.
  5. Must be a high school senior at time of application.
  6. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
  7. Must participate in community service.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for Clay County (FL) high school seniors who are members of 4-H, FFA, FCCLA, or Police Explorers.

Application requirements for the Clay County Agricultural Fair Association Scholarship are:

Additional Information: Selection will be based on the following: academic standing, community service, and extracurricular activity involvement. An eligible student must meet the following criteria in addition to all others: have no more than five unexcused absences during the school year; be free from disciplinary action in his/her school and community; and be willing to volunteer 10 hours working with the CCFA.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications are available online on the Clay County Fair Association (CCFA) website and from high school guidance counselors. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit the following: a photograph of himself/herself; a copy of his/her high school transcript, including SAT and/or ACT scores; three letters of recommendation, including one from his/her high school guidance counselor; and a brief essay of 300-600 words on one of the two topics listed on the CCFA website. In addition, one section of the application must be completed and signed by the student's high school guidance counselor. The student must submit the complete application and attachments to his/her guidance counselor. The counselor will then forward the completed application to the address provided to be received by the deadline date.
