Number of Awards & Eligibility: Up to four awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be a graduating high school senior to apply for this freshman year award.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Must have an ACT score of 23 or higher.
  6. Must plan to attend a public or nonprofit two- or four-year university full time.
  7. Must demonstrate strong community service experience.
  8. Must graduate from an Albuquerque metro area high school (includes Bernalillo, Sandoval, Valencia and Torrance counties).
  9. Must demonstrate financial need.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: Graduating high school seniors attending an Albuquerque, New Mexico high school are eligible for this award. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, an ACT score of 23 or higher, and demonstrate strong community service experience. Priority will be given to students who plan a career in early childhoood development/teaching.

Additional Information: Established by the Kiwanis Club of Albuquerque, this program recognizes students with a strong history of community service.

Award Amount: Up to $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
