Number of Awards & Eligibility: Four awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  2. This award is for U.S. students.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
  4. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  5. Must submit evidence of participation in anti-bullying efforts.

Description: This scholarship is available for U.S. high school seniors who have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher and a history of promoting antibullying efforts and causes.

Application requirements for the Megan Meier Memorial Scholarship are:

  • Any applicable pictures or video
  • Recent grade report
Additional Information: The Megan Meier Foundation is seeking high school seniors that have made a positive impact in regards to issues of bullying and cyberbullying in their own school environment and community. Selection will be based on submitted items, quality of anti-bulling efforts, recommendations, and any other special circumstances provided in the application, such as extreme financial need, illness, etc.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications and information about this award are available online at the Megan Meier Foundation website using the link provided. To be considered for this award, students must submit the following items: a completed application form including personal and contact information; a recent report card, transcript, or grade report; a letter of recommendation from a member of the staff or faculty at the high school the applicant attends; an essay describing the applicant's efforts to reduce bullying and other extracurricular activities; any special circumstances the applicant would like to have considered; and any pictures or videos that are relevant to the foundation's mission of reducing bullying. All applications and supporting documents must be submitted online no later than the deadline date.
