Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a resident of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington state.
  3. Must be a high school senior or be enrolled or planning to enroll in an undergraduate or graduate program.
  4. Must be majoring in law, political science, public policy or public administration with the goal of improving rights for LGBT people.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  6. Preference is given to students who are self-identified lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT), members of LGBT families, or straight allies who have been strongly supportive of the LGBT community.

Additional Information: Pride Foundation is able to offer a diversity of scholarships, which encourage students of different backgrounds and educational interests to apply. Most scholarships are available for straight ally or questioning students as well as student of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) parents. All promote leadership and diversity in the LGBT community.

Award Amount: The monetary award amount varies and is determined by the Pride Foundation. Generally, scholarships offered through the foundation are a minimum of $500 to a maximum of $12,000. The award is offered annually and is non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $12,000.
