Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually based on the number of qualified applicants.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must plan to attend the University of North Florida.
  3. Must have earned a UNF recalculated grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  4. Must enroll 15 or more credit hours per semester.
  5. Must be an incoming first-time-in-college freshman.
  6. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  7. Must demonstrate commitment to community service and leadership involvement.

Description: This award is available for U.S. high school seniors who are planning to attend the University of North Florida. Students must demonstrate financial need and have earned a UNF recalculated grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Application requirements for the UNF Weaver Family Foundation Scholarship are:

  • Recommendation letter
  • FAFSA
  • Application form
  • Resume
  • Interview (if requested)
  • Personal statement
Additional Information: Students must demonstrate financial need. Financial need is determined by a student's campus cost of attendance minus the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) as calculated from the FAFSA, and other aid received. Students may be required to schedule a scholarship interview. Such students will be provided with the date and time for the interview. Current UNF students and transfer students are not eligible to apply. Recipients must live on campus and must enroll in a business ethics course prior to their junior year.

Award Amount: $6,000 annually, renewable for three additional years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $24,000.
