In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a resident of Hillsborough County, Florida.
  2. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  4. Must have a parent who is active or retired military.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident.
  6. This award is for U.S. students.

Description: This scholarship is available for U.S. high school seniors who reside in Hillsborough County, Florida. Applicants must have one or more parents who are active or retired military, as well as a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Application requirements for the Friends of Military Families Scholarship are:

Additional Information: Funded through a partnership between Friends of Military Families and Grow Financial Credit Union, this award is provided each year to a Hillsborough area high school senior with one or more parents who are active or retired military.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.
