Number of Awards & Eligibility: Approximately 40,000 awards disbursed each year.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a resident of Kentucky.
  3. Must enroll for a minimum of six semester hours (half time) in an academic program that takes two or more years to complete.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  5. Must attend an eligible college or university in Kentucky.
  6. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is to Kentucky resident undergraduate students who are attending or planning to attend an eligible Kentucky postsecondary institution. Students must demonstrate financial need, as determined by completing the FAFSA.

Additional Information: The College Access Program (CAP) help Kentucky’s financially needy undergraduate students attend eligible public and private colleges and universities, proprietary schools, and technical colleges. Award Amount: Up to $1,900 per an academic year ($950 per semester). Awards are not automatically renewable. Students can re-apply each year by filing a renewal FAFSA.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,900.
