Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund
Up to $10,000 annually, non-renewable. The award amount varies based on the student's circumstances and the amount of funding available. Grant monies will be disbursed over the academic year to cover each separate semester, quarter or term the recipient is enrolled. Grants must be used in the year they are awarded. Recipients must reapply each year to receive additional support.
The number of awards offered varies annually. Last year, the foundation awarded a total of 28 awards.
The Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund aids people active in movements for social and economic justice. The scholarships are awarded based on financial need and to students demonstrating activism in the struggle against racism, sexism, homophobia and/or other forms of oppression; building a movement for economic justice; and creating peace through international anti-imperialist solidarity. The student should review these directions carefully to ensure that his/her packet conforms to the listed specifications. Applications that are completed and/or assembled incorrectly will be disqualified. The 'FAQ' section information is taken down after the application deadline date each year.
