Number of Awards & Eligibility: Varies, all qualified applicants will be considered depending on the amount of funding available.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a resident of Hawaii.
  2. Must attend a state supported postsecondary institution in Hawaii.
  3. Must demonstrate substantial financial need (determined by the institution).
  4. Must enroll at a half-time basis or greater.
  5. Must be a high school senior or older.
  6. This award is for U.S. students.
  7. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non citizen.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available to Hawaii resident undergraduate students who are attending an eligible postsecondary institution in Hawaii. The student must demonstrate financial need and qualify for a Federal Pell grant.

Additional Information: The Hawaii Student Incentive Grant (HSIG) is a grant available to students who are residents of the State of Hawaii, demonstrate exceptional financial need and are eligible for a Federal Pell Grant. Students can contact his/her institution's financial aid office for additional details.

Award Amount: The award amounts varies, each participating eligible institution will determine the student's eligibility and grant amount. Awards are not automatically renewable, eligible students may re-apply each academic year. Students should contact the financial aid office for more information.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
