  • FAFSA
Additional Information: The Tuition Aid Grant (TAG) is a state program created by the State of New Jersey which provides aid for needy New Jersey students. The Tuition Aid Grant (TAG) Program is one of the nation's largest and most generous financial aid programs, with nearly one in every three full-time New Jersey undergraduates receiving awards. Students must attend an approved New Jersey college, university or degree-granting proprietary school. A list of approved colleges and universities is available on the HESAA website. Participation at some institutions is limited to certain approved programs of study. Students should contact the participating institution for additional details. Financial need is generally determined from information provided on the FAFSA by calculating the students cost of attending college minus the Expected Family Contribution (EFC). Students must meet the general eligibility requirements for receipt of state aid in the state of New Jersey and must not: owe repayment of a grant under any state or federal grant or scholarship program; be in default on any federal Title IV or state student loan program unless satisfactory arrangements to repay have been made; have previously received a bachelor's degree or an associate degree if enrolled at a two-year college; or be enrolled in a program of study leading to a degree in theology or divinity.

Award Amount: Awards may cover up to the cost of tuition and ranges from $2,680 to $12,438 annually. The amount of money received is dependent on several factors, including financial need, cost of attendance and available funding. Awards may be renewed annually providing the student continues to meet all the program requirements and maintain satisfactory academic progress (as determined by the institution). For detailed information about the exact award amounts students should contact the financial aid office at his/her school.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,100.
