Flight 587 Memorial Scholarships provide funds to help meet the cost of attending college. The award covers up to four years of full-time undergraduate study (or five years in an approved five-year bachelor's degree program). The total award for on-campus students, based on the 2015-16 academic year, is $22,487; the maximum total annual award for commuter students for the 2015-16 academic year is $15,037. Receipt of other grants and scholarships may reduce the award. The total of all aid received cannot be greater than the student's Title IV cost of attendance.
Approximately 25 awards are given each year.
Eligible students must be matriculated in an approved program of study and be in good academic standing and not be in default on a student loan guaranteed by HESC or on any repayment of state awards.
