Additional Information: The Oklahoma Tuition Equalization Grant Program (OTEG) is a need-based grant program that awards grants to Oklahoma residents enrolled as full-time undergraduates at qualified Oklahoma not-for-profit, private/independent institutions of higher education. For purposes of this award, financial need is measured by the Expected Family Contribution (EFC), which is determined based on the information the student provides on his/her FAFSA. OTEG awards are limited to students who have a family income of $50,000 or less and have unmet financial need in meeting the cost of attendance as determined by the institution. Each institution selects its own recipients for this grant, and will notify students. In the event an institution’s allocation of OTEG funds is insufficient to award all eligible non-renewal students at the institution, the statutes call for the awarding of grants on the basis of financial need. Students with the highest unmet need, after consideration for all other grants and scholarships received by the eligible applicant, would be awarded first.

Award Amount: $2,000 per academic year or $1,000 per academic semester. Awards are not automatically renewable, eligible recipients may re-apply each year. The award can be received for a maximum of five consecutive years of study in a baccalaureate program, or until the completion of a baccalaureate degree.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.
