Number of Awards & Eligibility: Last year, approximately 2/3 of all enrolled undergraduate students at USC received some form of financial aid through the school's various programs.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be accepted to and attend the University of Southern California.
  2. Must be an undergraduate student with unmet financial need.

Additional Information: Admissions to USC are need-blind and all accepted students will be provided with a financial aid package designed to meet 100% of each student's demonstrated financial need. Students who apply by the priority deadline of December 1 will also be considered for merit-based scholarships and other forms of aid such as work-study.

Award Amount: Each financial aid award is designed to fulfill the individual student's entire unmet financial need. Last academic year, the average need-based scholarship award was valued at approximately $48,000.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $48,399.

To be considered for financial aid at the University of Southern California (USC), students must first apply for and be granted admission. Admission applications must be completed through the Common Application and must include all USC supplemental sections. Acceptance is highly competitive and requires the highest levels of academic achievement: in the prior year, only 12.9% of applicants were accepted. For full merit-based and need-based scholarship consideration, admissions applications must be received by December 1.
