In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be an incoming student who has completed less than 30 undergraduate credit hours.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must graduate from a Wisconsin high school.
  4. Must plan to attend the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
  5. Preference is given to students who are single parents and/or have experienced other nontraditional pathways to the university.
  6. This award is for U.S. students.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: Students who graduated from a Wisconsin high school and have earned less than 30 undergraduate credit hours are eligible for this award at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Students must demonstrate significant financial need; preference is given to single parents and students who have experienced other non-traditional paths to university.

Additional Information: To be considered, students must have a well-rounded record of academic achievement, leadership, and involvement in extracurricular activities. Students must also demonstrate significant financial need. The decision will be made before the start of the academic year.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, renewable for three more years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications are available online from the University of Wisconsin (UW)- Eau Claire website. There is not a separate application for this award. The student will be considered upon admission to UW-Eau Claire. In addition to the completed admissions application, the student must submit a $40 fee, transcripts, and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. Applications will be reviewed starting in December and through early Spring. It is advised that students submit completed applications prior to Feb. 1.
