Description: The main goal of RBIEF is to offer financial assistance through full or matching tuition and program funding for MBIA members, member’s employees, family and students whenever funding is available. In 2019, RBIEF awarded $7,500 in?scholarship?funds to 7 students, and one marine industry educator for advanced education.

Application requirements for the RBIEF Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form
  • Personal statement
  • MBIA Membership.
Additional Information: RBIEF is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation. Founded in 1986, it provides financial support for education, training and professional development in the recreational marine trades. The main goal of RBIEF is to offer financial assistance through full or matching tuition and program funding for MBIA members, member’s employees, family and students whenever funding is available. In 2019, RBIEF awarded $7,500 in scholarship funds to 7 students, and one marine industry educator for advanced education.

Award Amount: Scholarship amounts depend on contributions for that year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
