Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be female.
  4. Must be enrolled in an engineering program.
  5. Must be a college junior.
  6. Must be a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE).

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is for female students who are entering their junior year of a four-year ABET-accredited engineering program.

Application requirements for the Auxiliary Legacy Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Application form
  • Recommendation letter (2)
  • Official Transcript
  • Resume
Additional Information: The winner will be selected based on the following: grade point average, internship/co-op experience and other activities, recommendation letters, honors/awards/scholarships, and the essay.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.

Additional information is available on the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) website. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit official transcripts (in sealed envelope), two recommendation letters from teachers, a resume, and an essay (maximum 500 words). All materials must be sent together by email or postmarked to the address provided by the deadline date.
