Today, it isn’t uncommon to see women attending colleges and universities right alongside men, but that wasn’t always the case. There’s been great progress in bridging the gap between equal rights of men and women — but we still have a ways to go. Women in Need Scholarship

U.S. female students who are incoming, current, or re-entry juniors enrolled full time in an accounting program are eligible for this award. Students must be the sole source of support for themselves and their family. This may have been caused as a result of the death of a spouse, a divorce or other circumstances.

This award is available for women who are incoming, current or re-entering college freshmen. Applicants must be the sole source of support for herself and her family and plan to pursue a major in accounting full time.

Sharon D. Banks Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship

Women who are currently enrolled as college sophomores, juniors and/or seniors in a transportation-related program with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and are affiliated with an eligible Women's Transportation Seminar chapter are eligible to apply for this award.

International and U.S. female graduate students who plan to pursue a career in a transportation-related field are eligible for this award. Students must be affiliated with a specific WTS chapter and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

This award is available to South Dakota students who are enrolled at or planning to attend a South Dakota State supported college or university. The student must be under the age of 25 and be the child of a deceased parent, mother or father, who was killed in action or died of other causes while on active duty in the armed forces.

Wesleyan College Margaret A. Pitts Endowed Scholarship for Methodist Students

This scholarship is open to U.S. and international students who enroll as first-time freshmen at Wesleyan College in Georgia (a women's college). Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and an SAT score of 1000 or higher or an ACT score of 21 or higher; students must also be active members of a United Methodist church.
