Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards varies.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a woman.
  2. Must has served or is serving honorably in the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Reserve, Army National Guard or the child of a woman who served honorably in the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Reserve or Army National Guard.
  3. Must be a high school graduate or GED.
  4. Must have a 2.5 Grade Point Average (GPA).
  5. Must be currently enrolled in an accredited community college.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The Community College Legacy Scholarship is available to high school graduate women who has served or is serving honorably in the U.S. Army, Army Reserve, National Guard. Children of the women are also eligible to apply. Scholarships are merit and needs based and are awarded only for coursework from accredited institutions.

Additional Information: The Army Women’s Foundation is the premier volunteer organization for today’s Army women and veterans. Its mission is to empower, honor, and be a dynamic advocate for telling their stories. To recognize the importance of education and the role it plays in personal, professional and economic fulfillment, they offer the Army Women’s Foundation Legacy Scholarship Program. It provides grants to women soldiers, past and present, and their lineal descendants to help them attain their educational goals. The Legacy Scholarship Program offers financial support in four areas: Certificate programs, Community College coursework, Undergraduate Degrees, and Graduate Degrees. Scholarships are awarded only for coursework from accredited institutions. And are based on merit, academic potential, community service, letters of recommendation, and need.

Award Amount: The Community College Legacy Scholarship will be awarded up to $1,000.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
