Number of Awards & Eligibility: One full scholarship will be provided to an incoming INI student.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must have an accumulated GPA of at least 3.25 prior to entering Carnegie Mellon.
  2. Must attend Carnegie Mellon's INI program.

Description: The Executive Women’s Forum INI Fellowship is available for graduating INI students who have and maintain a 3.25 GPA prior to entering and while at the INI; have no outstanding employment contract or obligation while attending Carnegie Mellon; show exemplary promise and potential; and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills.

Additional Information: The Information Networking Institute (INI) partners with the Executive Women's Forum (EWF), sponsored by Alta Associates, to offer a full scholarship to an incoming INI student. Alta Associates is an executive recruitment firm specializing in Information Security, IT Audit, Risk Management and Privacy. In 2003, Alta Associates organized the first ever Executive Women's Forum on Information Security. It was for leaders in information security, privacy and risk management. Since then, it has been holding annual forums. The EWF is a group of over 200 of the most senior executive women in information security, risk management and privacy who share experiences and build trust-based relationships. This scholarship was first offered in fall 2007 to support a student from a historically underrepresented population. Awardees, known as EWF-INI Fellows, receive a full scholarship and have the opportunity to be mentored by an EWF participant who is at a senior level in the information security field.

Award Amount: Tuition for students enrolling in INI in Fall 2019 is $87,500 for the entire program. Students must maintain a minimum 3.25 GPA while at the INI to be eligible to continue receiving the award.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $87,500.
