Triangle Community Foundation
$10,000 annually, non-renewable.
One award offered annually.
These awards will support female medical students who are interested in pursuing health-related research projects. Students must have an interest in health research, and must have the support of a faculty mentor. Selection is based on a number of factors. These factors include the candidate’s qualifications, the quality and relevance of the proposed health research, and the interest and support of the student’s scientific mentor. Consideration also will be given to the institutional environment. Institutions should provide evidence that they are committed to research in the areas in which the student will work and that they are willing to provide appropriate mentoring for the student.
Applications are available online from the Triangle Community Foundation website. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit her sponsor’s statement of nomination as described; ... sign up for full scholarship deadline information.
