Number of Awards & Eligibility: This is a partial scholarship and the amounts awarded varies.

Description: Stephens College is home to the first varsity collegiate all-women’s esports team. The college is also a member of the National Association of Collegiate eSports (NACE), which includes 90 percent of varsity collegiate esports in the country. The six-player team competes in the team-based FPS “Overwatch,” which features diverse and strong female characters.

Additional Information: Applicants who get into the college can fill out a form to be recruited for the team and apply for a scholarship. When you apply to the school, you need to send in ACT / SAT scores, transcripts and a personal statement. The scholarship application form asks for some biographical details and about your preferred gaming roles. You may also need to send in a completed FAFSA for the year you are applying into. Admission and continued enrollment in Stephen’s undergraduate residential women’s college is restricted exclusively to women, including students who are legally identified as female and who self-identify as women; students who document an ongoing transition to female and who self-identify as women; and students who are legally identified as female but do not fit within the gender binary. The program will not admit or enroll students who self-identify as men or who are transitioning to male. There is a live tryout for membership on the eSports team. No deadline given.

Award Amount: The dollar amount varies.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.
