Many colleges and universities offer options for studying abroad and taking advantage of such an opportunity may be one of the greatest adventures and opportunities you can find in higher education. Being able to learn and study in a foreign country reveals a wealth of new experiences and perspectives that just aren't available in more traditional classroom settings. NCSU Park Scholarship

This scholarship is available for U.S. high school seniors who plan to attend North Carolina State University. Students must have taken AP or IB courses; recipients typically have a grade point average of 'A' and an SAT score above 1190.

Morehead-Cain Scholars Program

This award is available for current high school seniors in the U.S., Canada or the United Kingdom. Applicants must be unmarried and have no children and must plan to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The student should rank near the top of his/her senior class.

This scholarship is available for undergraduate students who are planning to study abroad. Funds may be used for travel, living expenses, or the costs of tuition for an accredited study abroad program.

U.S. graduating high school seniors who demonstrate academic excellence along with proven leadership in school-based activities, community service and/or athletics will be considered for this award from Stevenson University in Maryland.

University of Oregon Stamps Leadership Scholarship

This scholarship is open to U.S. high school seniors who plan to attend the University of Oregon, and are residents of and graduating from a high school in Oregon. Students must: have a grade point average of 3.85 or higher; have an SAT score of 1300 or higher or an ACT score of 28 or higher; and exemplify leadership, perseverance, scholarship, service, and innovation.

This scholarship is available for U.S. undergraduate students who plan to study or intern abroad in the same country for at least four weeks; the country cannot be Cuba or on the U.S. State Department's Travel Warning list. Students must be receiving or will receive a federal Pell Grant.

University of Arizona National Scholars Award for Non-Arizona Residents

U.S. students who are non-Arizona residents and National Merit Finalists are eligible for this award. Students must declare the University of Arizona as their first choice.
