Description: This scholarship is available for undergraduate students who are planning to study abroad. Additional Information: Good Colleges was founded by Dr. Andrew Lancaster with the mission of helping students find information about the best career options and educational paths available for each student's chosen field of study. To further this mission, an annual scholarship is provided for study abroad programs. Award selection will be based on essay submissions, and particular attention will be paid by the judges to applicants who demonstrate a well thought out plan of what they hope to learn and achieve by studying abroad. One winner will be selected and notified later in November.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, non-renewable. All scholarship funds must be used for tuition, travel, or living expenses related to a study abroad program through an accredited college or university.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.

Applications and additional information about this study abroad scholarship can be found online at the Good Colleges website. To be considered for this award, students must write an original essay of between 150 and 250 words in length that addresses the following question: "Why that city?" Essays should elaborate on why the student has chosen his or her study abroad destination and what he or she hopes to gain from visiting and studying there. Applications and essays should be submitted through the online form, but may also be submitted via email if the student has any technical issues in that process. All submissions must be received no later than the deadline date.
