Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two to four awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  2. This award is for U.S. students.
  3. Must demonstrate qualities of leadership.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
  5. Must have work experience in a grocery store or other food retail business.

Description: This award is available for U.S. upperclass undergraduates who have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher, experience working in a grocery store or other food retailer, and a history of demonstrating leadership.

Additional Information: The Roger Collins Leadership scholarship is provided each year to college juniors and seniors who have experience working in a grocery store or other food retail outlet. Selection of recipients will be based on academic achievemnt, work history, and evidence of leadership potential.

Award Amount: $1,000 to $1,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,250.

To be considered for this award, students must submit a completed application form as well as the following documents: a personal statement addressing the topic listed on the application; a letter of recommendation from a sponsor in the grocery industry or university faculty; and a college or university transcript (either an official or unofficial copy). All applications and supporting materials must be postmarked or emailed no later than the deadline date.
