Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards varies annually depending on the availability of funding and the number of qualified applicants.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  2. This award is for U.S. students.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  4. Must be an undergraduate or graduate student at the time of application.
  5. Must be pursuing a career in psychology, counseling, or therapy.
  6. Must be majoring in counseling, psychology, sociology, social work, or another related field.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for U.S. undergraduate and graduate students who are majoring in majoring in counseling, psychology, sociology, social work, or another related field leading to a career in counseling, psychology, or therapy. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Application requirements for the Teens Path to Success Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Personal statement
  • Copy of transcripts
  • Recommendation letter (x2)
Additional Information: The Elk River Teen Treatment Program and the Teens Path to Success Foundation will award multiple scholarships to U.S. undergraduate and graduate students who are majoring in counseling, psychology, sociology, social work, and other related fields. The scholarship has been created to support students who demonstrate a passion for and commitment to helping others in need.

Award Amount: $500 to $5,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,750.

Applications and information about this award can be found online at the Elk River Treatment Program website. To be considered for this award, students must submit a completed application form as well as the following documents: a personal statement or letter describing the applicant's current course of study and career goals; two letters of recommendation from college instructors; and copies of transcripts for all college coursework completed. Although applications are accepted throughout the year, awards are made annually during the month of May. All applications and supporting materials received after May 1 will be considered for the following academic year.
