Description: The Allmand Law Scholarship Contest is available for currently accepted or enrolled college students who submit an original essay or video in response to this year's topic of how bankruptcy law helps small businesses.

Application requirements for the Allmand Law Scholarship Contest are:

  • Application form
  • Video or essay submission
Additional Information: The Allmand Law Scholarship Contest seeks to encourage students to think about how bankruptcy laws help small businesses take risks and inspire students to consider a career in a law-related field. The winner will be selected and notified in late August. Accepting a scholarship includes acceptance of the terms & conditions of the program, which states that the winner's information and essay or video submission may be posted publicly on the Allmand Law website and/or applicable media outlets. Students who do not want their information publicized must notify the sponsor in writing.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Application instructions and additional information about the Allmand Law Scholarship Contest is available using the provided links. There are two ways to apply for this scholarship program: students may submit a video or an essay. All submissions must focus on the role of bankruptcy laws in protecting and assisting businesses in the United States. Video submissions must be between one and two minutes in length and published publicly to Youtube. Videos must also be submitted to the Allmand Law Facebook page and shared on the student's personal Facebook page. Students choosing the essay option must write an original response of between 1,000 and 1,500 words in length and submit their writing to the provided email address. All submissions must be received no later than the deadline date.
