Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work or attend school in the United States.
  3. Must be currently enrolled or have been accepted into an accredited university or college, either at the undergraduate or post-graduate levels.
  4. Must be, or have a close family member who is, diagnosed with a form of autism, including Asperger syndrome.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. undergraduate and graduate students who have been, or who have a family member who has been, diagnosed with a form of autism (including Asperger Syndrome). Students must submit an essay on topic related to autism in order to apply.

Additional Information: The scholarship winner will be determined solely by a selection committee at The Perecman Firm. Selection will in no way be influenced by gender, race, national origin, sexual orientation, or any criteria other than the meeting of the application requirements and the committee's evaluation of the essay attached with the application. The scholarship winner will be notified mid-August by phone or email, using the contact information provided in the application. All funds will be disbursed to the scholarship recipient by the end of August for the fall semester.

Award Amount: $5,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.

Applications are available online on the scholarship website. Each student must upload the following materials to the online application: an essay of 500 to 1,000 words on one of the autism-related topics posted on the scholarship website; and an official academic transcript. Materials must be in .pdf or .doc files. Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. EST on the deadline date.
