Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship is awarded.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must currently be enrolled in a course of study at any accredited community or junior college, or an undergraduate or graduate degree program anywhere in the United States.
  2. Must be in good academic standing and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
  3. Must be able to demonstrate their strong commitment to safe driving and be able to describe the dangers of distracted driving and come up with ways to avoid those distractions.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The Distracted Driving Awareness Scholarship is available to all applicants currently enrolled in a course of study at any accredited community or junior college, or an undergraduate or graduate degree program anywhere in the United States. Current high school students or GED holders who have been accepted for admission to a 4 year, community or junior college are also eligible.

Application requirements for the Distracted Driving Awareness Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Official Transcript
Additional Information: The attorneys at Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers are proud to once again offer the Distracted Driving Awareness Scholarship to students who share their thoughts on the dangers of distracted driving and how they think the problem should be addressed. Applicants are encouraged to submit unique and vibrant presentations to illustrate their ideas in a creative way. Must be able to demonstrate their strong commitment to safe driving and be able to describe the dangers of distracted driving and come up with ways to avoid those distractions.

Award Amount: The winner of the Distracted Driving Awareness Scholarship will receive $2,000.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.

Application are available from www.cooperhurley.com. To be eligible for the Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers Distracted Driving Awareness Scholarship, applicants must submit their completed application (contact information, essay, transcript(s), and resume) by e-mail. All applications must have a subject line that reads: “[Applicant’s First and Last Name] - Distracted Driving Awareness Scholarship”. Submissions without this subject line will not be considered. The deadline for all application materials is July 15, 2020.
