Number of Awards & Eligibility: Four awards provided annually. One scholarship will be awarded for each of the quarterly deadlines (January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1).
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 3.6 or higher.
  3. Must be an undergraduate or graduate student at the time of application. High school seniors may also apply if they have been accepted to and are planning to enroll in an accredited college or university during the upcoming fall semester.

Additional Information: Employment BOOST provides this scholarship program in hopes of inspiring the next generation of professionals to make a positive impact in the world. Award selection will be based on a combination of demonstrated academic merit, the quality of submitted essays, and the strength of recommendation letters. Students from any major may apply for this award. Previous winners are not eligible to re-apply.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications and additional information about this scholarship can be found online at the Employment BOOST website. To be considered for this award, students must complete the online application and attach the following supplemental documents: one letter of reference from a current or former teacher or employer; an essay of between 500 and 1,000 words in length based on the poem “Howl,” Part 1, by Allen Ginsberg; and a copy of transcripts for all coursework completed. High school seniors applying for this award must also submit a copy of an acceptance letter indicating their plans to enroll in an undergraduate program no later than the upcoming fall semester. All applications and supporting documents must be submitted online. Scholarships will be accepted throughout the year, but must be submitted by the current quarterly deadline for consideration during that scholarship period.
