Description: The Law Offices of James D. Scott Family Law Scholarship is available for graduating high school seniors and current college students who submit an original short story or poem they have written. Click here to learn more and apply today!

Additional Information: The Law Offices of James D. Scott Family Law Scholarship is provided annually to encourage students who demonstrate a love and talent for literature, success in the classroom, and a commitment to serving the community. The selected winner and his or her photo and writing sample will be announced and published online at the Law Offices of James D. Scott website.

Award Amount: $1,500 annually, non-renewable. The winner will be liable for any taxes or fees that result from receiving the scholarship funds.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.

Additional information and instructions on applying for the Law Offices of James D. Scott Family Law Scholarship are available at the provided link. To be considered for an award, students must submit a completed application packet that includes the following: school transripts; evidence of financial need, academic standing and/or community participation; an original short story or poem the student has written (no more than five pages in length; and a picture of the applicant (headshot preferred). All documents must be submitted in a single email or sent in one envelope to the provider's address. All submissions must be received by the deadline date.
