Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship will be provided each year.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The Solano Law Firm Scholarship Contest is available for graduating high school seniors and current undergraduate students who submit an essay or video on the current year's topic.

Application requirements for the Solano Law Firm Scholarship Contest are:

  • Video or Essay submission
Additional Information: The Solano Law Firm Scholarship Contest is offered each year in the hopes of achieving the following: provide financial assistance to a current or incoming college student; encourage students to contemplate a career in law; and encourage students to think about the unique difficulties that immigrants face in today's society. Students who are offered a scholarship must acknowledge and agree that their content submissions, name, and likeness may be used for marketing purposes. Applicants who do not wish for this information to be made public must notify the Solano Law Firm in writing at the time of application.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications and additional information about the Solano Law Firm Scholarship Contest are available using the provided links. To apply for this scholarship, students must submit a video or essay that describes the challenges that immigrants face or why they want to be a lawyer. Videos must be 1-2 minutes in length, must be posted publicly to the applicant's YouTube channel, and must contain a link back to the Solano Law Firm's scholarship page. Essays must be between 1,000 and 1,500 words in length. Videos must be shared to the Solano Law Firm Facebook page by the deadline date. Students applying by essay must submit it by email no later than the deadline. Applications are accepted throughout the year, but must be received by August 1 to be considered for that year's contest.
